French air charter firm SD Aviation placed an order at Aero Friedrichshafen 2026 for a pair of Cessna Citation M2 Gen3s and a CJ3 Gen2, Textron Aviation announced. The aircraft operator also signed for options on three additional unspecified light jets.

These Citations will be deployed to support SD Aviation’s new SD Share shared ownership program, offering flights in aircraft based in Paris and Côte d’Azur resort Cannes. The program has been launched through a partnership between Groupe Dubreuil and SD Aviation, which has not disclosed further details of the terms.

AX Aero Group has launched its plans to offer an array of technology-based services spanning aircraft management, pilot training, and a digital platform for aircraft operators, owners, and charter clients. The Switzerland-based group made its public debut at the Aero Friedrichshafen show. AX Aero Group encompasses six companies, including Axis Flight Simulation, which is expanding its range of simulators to offer alternatives to market leaders CAE and FlightSafety International.

Business aviation entrepreneur Niall Olver, who was CEO and chairman of ExecuJet Aviation Group from 1994 to 2015, is leading the AX Aero Group expansion. The latest addition to the group is aircraft operator and asset management company Axis Aviation, which now operates alongside Axis Flight Simulation, in which he acquired a stake in 2013.

Deliveries of the Bristell B23 Energic are due to start by early next year, with the all-electric aircraft in the final stages of EASA CS-23 type certification, according to the manufacturer. More than 100 orders have been placed for the two-seat trainer to date, which will feature Safran’s dual-channel EngineUs electric motor as part of H55’s proprietary propulsion system.

The B23 Energic—unveiled in April 2024 as an electric variant of the thermally-powered Bristell B23—is a collaboration between Czech manufacturer BRM Aero and Swiss electric propulsion specialist H55. During a press conference on April 23 at April’s Aero Friedrichshafen show, H55 explained that the EngineUs motor is being integrated into an airframe, with aircraft-level certification expected late this year or early in 2027.

Greek flight training organization Global Aviation Academy has ordered five of Elixir Aircraft’s new Elixir+ two-seat trainers. The deal announced at the Aero Friedrichshafen show on Wednesday makes the school the European launch customer for the upgraded model, which was on the French manufacturer’s stand.

Deliveries to Greece are expected to start in July, with Global starting to replace its current fleet of 20 aircraft, including several Piper and Cessna pistons. In June, Elixir expects to deliver further examples of the new version to U.S. customers Cirrus Aviation and Sierra Charlie Aviation.

Thirty aviation software and technology companies are looking to improve standardization in the business aviation sector through a new group called Technology Aviation Business (TAB). The association was launched on Wednesday at the Aero Friedrichshafen show with founder members including FL3XX, SkAI Tech, GlobeAir, Aviowiki, and Axturis.

TAB’s main focus is on technology used to optimize aircraft operations, including flight planning tools. Member companies, including operators, are aiming to establish clear definitions and standards.
