Comlux officially opened its new aircraft maintenance and service center at Dubai Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) on Tuesday. The 20,000-sq-m (215,000-sq-ft) facility encompasses an air-conditioned hangar, several floors of office and work space, and a 15,000-sq-m apron, all serving as the Middle East regional headquarters for the business aviation services group.
Basement areas of the building spanning both the landside and airside of the DWC site are being used for technical installations and storage. The ground floor houses spare parts stores and workshops, while the first and second floors are dedicated to commercial and management offices, as well as a VIP area and design showroom that includes a full-scale mock-up of an Airbus ACJ TwoTwenty.
